MUSCAT: A new cohort of citizens holding General Education Diplomas (GED) and post-GED qualifications has officially joined the Royal Oman Police (ROP) after successfully completing the evaluation and acceptance phases in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour on Sunday.
These new recruits will receive training at the Police Institute for New Recruits, part of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences. During their training, they will learn the fundamental skills of police work along with legal and academic insights relevant to the field.
The recruits expressed their joy and pride in becoming part of the Royal Oman Police, underscoring that joining this esteemed security organization represents a noble national mission and a significant responsibility to help maintain security, enhance stability, and serve the country and its citizens.
Hamoud bin Ali al Rashdi, one of the new recruits, stated, “Joining the Royal Oman Police is an honour and a great responsibility. I will do everything in my power to serve the nation and always live up to expectations.”
Another recruit, Saif bin Malik al Rajhi, remarked, “I am embarking on a new chapter in my life, defined by commitment and discipline. I will always be a loyal soldier dedicated to protecting the nation’s security and safeguarding its resources.”
Hawas bin Ali al Amri, also a new recruit, noted, “My acceptance into the Royal Oman Police followed my completion of registration procedures for a specialization in mechanical engineering, which focuses on machinery, pumps, and troubleshooting their malfunctions.”
