RO 12 Million Investment in Al Mudhaibi’s Road Connectors: Implications for Business Growth and Infrastructure Development in Oman

**AL MUDHAIBI, AUGUST 24** — The Al Sharqiyah North Municipality has initiated a series of road paving projects in various villages across Al Mudhaibi, encompassing a total distance of approximately 71 kilometers and an investment exceeding RO 12 million. These projects are part of the Governorate’s road paving plan aimed for completion by 2025.

Eng. Mohammed bin Salem al Toubi, Director of Projects at Al Sharqiyah North Municipality, explained that the initiatives consist of multiple packages. Significant works include 18 kilometers of internal roads linking the villages of Al Khashabah and Jafr Al Dham at a cost of RO 1.54 million, a 9.5-kilometer road to Al Hammah, and a 4-kilometer road leading to Al Ruq village, with this package currently at 17.6% completion.

He further noted that the ongoing connecting road projects include a 4.838-kilometer route to Zakt village, costing RO 1.81 million, and a 6.895-kilometer road connecting Zakt, Al Ram, and Shih villages at a cost of RO 1.78 million, both with 15% completion.

Among the larger project packages, the first phase of connecting roads spans 20.936 kilometers with a budget of RO 2.43 million. This phase will link the Al Mudhaibi-Sinaw road to Al Ghamisah, Telul Al Sharq village, and the Al Masron-Ibra route to Al Salmi farms, along with roads connecting Al Aflaj and Al Zahira villages. The second package, costing RO 2.08 million, includes 11.26 kilometers of roads connecting Al Mudhaibi with Dima W’attayeen, extending from Al Jarda through Al Rak to Al Rahbah villages. The third package features a 9.42-kilometer road linking Sultan Turki bin Said road in Al Jarda to Wadi Abd village, at a cost of RO 2.68 million, benefiting the villages of Al Mahdutha, Al Aswad, Al Manzifah, and Wadi Abd.

The total 2025 road paving program for the Al Sharqiyah North Governorate spans 145 kilometers, with an overall investment of RO 25.5 million. These projects are expected to enhance traffic flow, stimulate economic and tourism activities, and improve connectivity between villages.
