Hamad al Sawafi, Director General of Renewable Energy and Hydrogen at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM).<\/p>\n<p>Eng al Sawafi emphasized that transitioning to a green economy is essential for boosting the national economy&#8217;s competitiveness, diversifying income sources, and creating new opportunities for both local and international private sector investors. He highlighted that these efforts will significantly increase Oman\u2019s appeal for foreign direct investment, particularly in the rapidly expanding low-carbon sector.<\/p>\n<p>Eng Mohsen bin Sulaiman al Jabri, Director General of the Oman Net Zero Centre, described the newly introduced regulatory framework for the carbon market as a transformative step for the economy.
