Muscat: The first support force from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) in Muscat Governorate has been deployed to Dhofar Governorate as part of early preparations for the Khareef Dhofar 2026 season. Major General Khalifa bin Ali al Siyabi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, addressed the support force before their departure. The Authority advises all Khareef visitors to prepare adequately by performing regular vehicle maintenance, ensuring fire extinguishers are functional, and carrying first aid kits. It also stresses the importance of adhering to speed limits, following traffic safety regulations, and familiarizing themselves with fuel station locations and rest stops along routes to Dhofar.
Institutions, companies, property owners, and tourism facility operators are reminded to comply with fire safety regulations, conduct regular maintenance, and ensure the readiness of fire protection systems. The Authority confirmed it will maintain intensified inspection and monitoring campaigns throughout the season and will take legal action against violators.
