SALALAH: The Khareef Dhofar Season attracted approximately 442,100 visitors from June 21 to July 31, marking a 7 percent increase compared to 413,122 visitors during the same period in 2024. These figures are based on preliminary estimates released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The data reveal a significant rise in Omani visitors, who increased by 75.6 percent to 334,399. Visitors from GCC countries numbered 69,801, while tourists from other nationalities totaled 37,900.
Regarding modes of arrival, 334,846 visitors entered Dhofar Governorate by land through the end of July 2025, while 107,254 arrived by air, representing a 10.9 percent increase in air arrivals compared to the end of July 2024.
Notably, the vast majority—95.3 percent—of visitors to the Khareef Dhofar Season arrived between July 1 and July 31, with the remaining 4.7 percent arriving between June 21 and June 30.
