ROP Arrests Two Housemaids in Robbery Case: Implications for Security Trends Impacting Businesses in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in North Al Sharqiyah, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations, have apprehended two African housemaids in connection with a violent robbery targeting a housewife in the Wilayat of Al Qabil.

Authorities report that the suspects attacked the victim inside her residence, wielding bladed weapons, restraining her, and stealing gold jewelry, cash, and her mobile phone. Following a thorough investigation, the police successfully located and arrested the two women in the Wilayat of Al Seeb.

Additionally, three other individuals from different nationalities were apprehended for their roles in transporting the suspects and aiding in the disposal of the stolen items at various undisclosed locations.

The Royal Oman Police have indicated that legal proceedings are underway for all parties involved in this incident.
