The organizers of Digifest Oman, the highly anticipated digital marketing festival scheduled to take place today at Rozna, Muscat, have officially announced the cancellation of the event due to newly introduced regulatory compliance requirements in Oman.

In an official statement shared on Digifest Oman’s Instagram page, the team expressed deep regret over the decision, explaining that new national regulations governing training and educational events now require specific licensing — permits that the organizers were unable to secure before the festival date.
“We have recently discovered that our event requires specific licensing under new regulations governing training activities in all formats,” the announcement read. “As we do not currently hold the necessary permits and cannot obtain them before the event date, we must cancel to ensure full compliance with local laws.”
The organizers emphasized that the decision was made with legal responsibility and attendee safety in mind, adding that they are exploring the possibility of rescheduling the festival once proper authorization is obtained.

For attendees who had purchased tickets, the team confirmed that full refunds will be processed automatically.
