Opening of Wadi Bani Khalid Public Library: Opportunities for Business Growth and Community Engagement in Oman
Wadi Bani Khalid – On July 8, a ceremony was held in Wadi Bani Khalid, North Sharqiyah Governorate, to inaugurate the Wadi Bani Khalid Public Library, overseen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth.
Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Saifi, the Chairman of the Library Board, emphasized the importance of caring for books and libraries, noting that it reflects the nation’s confidence and understanding of the value of knowledge. He described libraries as a significant educational and cultural institution that has produced great scholars, thinkers, and politicians who contributed to the development of their countries.
Ibrahim bin Yaqub Al-Nazri, the General Supervisor of the Library, provided an overview of its progress from the early stages of construction, highlighting community contributions and the facilities it includes, as well as the seminars and events organized since its establishment.
Following this, Mouhamed bin Yahya Al-Dhahli, the Governor of North Sharqiyah and the event’s patron, launched the Wadi Bani Khalid Quran Memorization and Sciences Competition in its inaugural edition.
