MHT to Organize Roadshows in Chinese Cities: What This Means for Business Expansion Opportunities in Oman
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is set to conduct a series of promotional roadshows in the People’s Republic of China from December 1 to 5. These events will take place in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
Leading the official delegation is Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Tourism, accompanied by representatives from 22 Omani tourism organizations. This substantial participation highlights the significance of the visit in advancing the Sultanate’s international tourism promotion efforts.
A key feature of the program is the inauguration of a direct flight by China Eastern Airlines to Beijing Daxing International Airport, in collaboration with Oman Airports. This new route will link Beijing with Muscat, symbolizing strengthened cooperation and alignment in tourism promotion between the two countries.
The launch marks a major step forward in improving air connectivity, easing travel, and boosting tourist arrivals between Oman and China.
Specialized workshops in the Chinese cities will offer a platform for collaboration between Omani tourism companies and hotels and their Chinese counterparts.
