Sanad Lab to Develop Future Services Roadmap: What It Means for Business Innovation and Growth in Oman
MUSCAT, DECEMBER 14, 2025 — Under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), representatives of Sanad Services Centres convened on Sunday, December 14, with participation from key dignitaries and officials from both government and private sectors.
Dr. Saleh bin Said Masan, Under-Secretary of MoCIIP for Commerce and Industry, highlighted the launch of the Sanad Services Centres Lab during his address. This multi-day initiative aims to create a detailed roadmap for the development of Sanad Centres by designing practical measures to enhance service quality, streamline work processes, and enrich the beneficiary experience. The lab also seeks to ensure the sustainability of these centres as vital partners in delivering government and community services.
The meeting underscored the crucial role of Sanad Centres in advancing Oman Vision 2040 goals, particularly in facilitating closer government service access for beneficiaries and generating employment opportunities for Omani youth. It was emphasized that digital transformation is not intended to replace service centres but to evolve their role, reinforcing their function as effective digital support and enablement hubs.
Further discussions highlighted Sanad Centres as a national model for empowering Omani youth through the management of small enterprises that offer government and private services, especially electronic services, contributing significant value to both the economy and society.
Attention was also given to the growth of the Sanad Centres network, now exceeding 920 centres, which have created over 2,350 job opportunities. In the third quarter of 2025 alone, these centres completed more than 800,000 transactions, delivered 388 electronic services, and achieved a 100% Omanisation rate. The meeting stressed the importance of ongoing development, sustainability, and operational efficiency improvements to bolster service quality and amplify their social impact.
This collective effort reaffirms the commitment to enhancing Sanad Centres as essential pillars of community and government service provision in Oman.

With over 920 centres creating 2,350+ jobs and a 100% Omanisation rate, smart investors should consider capitalizing on the growing demand for tech-enabled, community-focused service models. However, maintaining sustainability and operational efficiency will be crucial to mitigating risks related to service quality and market competition.
