Ramadhan Truck Movement Restrictions: How They Impact Logistics and Business Operations in Oman
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has implemented a temporary restriction on truck traffic during specific hours throughout the holy month of Ramadan to alleviate congestion on the roads.
From Sunday to Thursday, trucks will be prohibited from operating between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM and again from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Saturdays, the ban will be in effect from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on designated routes.
The affected roads include Sultan Qaboos Road, which spans from the Al Qurm Intersection in Muscat Governorate to the Khatmat Milaha Border Post in North Al Batinah Governorate, as well as Sultan Thuwayni bin Said Road, extending from the Burj Al Sahwa Roundabout in Muscat Governorate to Bidbid Bridge in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The restriction also encompasses major roads within Muscat Governorate.
The ROP has urged all drivers and transportation companies to adhere to these timings to help ensure smoother traffic flow during the blessed month.
