OCCI Ramadhan Economic Dialogues: Key Insights for Investors and Business Leaders in Oman
MUSCAT: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) is set to host a series of three Ramadhan evenings this year, designed to support economic diversification and strengthen dialogue between the public and private sectors. These sessions will offer an in-depth perspective on key sectors shaping Oman’s economic future.
The inaugural event, taking place on February 23 in Muscat, will focus on the future of the real estate sector and sustainable urban development. Discussions will cover the new Real Estate Development Law, market performance, investment opportunities, challenges faced by developers, and initiatives promoting integrated and smart city planning.
The second evening, scheduled for March 2, will highlight the priorities of Oman’s Eleventh Five-Year Plan. It will explore the plan’s role in advancing Oman Vision 2040 by enhancing the business environment and driving diversification through value-added industries, sustainable tourism, and digital transformation.
The final seminar, planned for mid-March, will examine economic diplomacy and its contribution to the national economy. Emphasis will be placed on attracting investment, boosting exports, and the role of Omani missions abroad in fostering long-term economic partnerships.
Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI, stated that these Ramadhan evenings aim to foster shared visions between government and private stakeholders, promote informed dialogue on opportunities and challenges, and direct efforts towards innovation and productive investment. He highlighted that the themes chosen reflect the significant transformations underway in Oman’s economy and the country’s growing role in the global economic landscape. — ONA
