Argentine Boca Juniors Signs Paredes from AS Roma: Implications for Sports Investment in Oman

Buenos Aires, July 11Boca Juniors, the Argentine club, has announced the return of international midfielder Leandro Paredes from AS Roma.

The 31-year-old has signed a new contract with Boca Juniors that will last for three seasons. He was officially presented to the fans, who celebrated his comeback to the club where he began his career.

Paredes started his professional journey with Boca Juniors, playing there from 2010 to 2014, before moving to Europe and joining the Serie A. He played for Chievo, Roma, and Empoli on loan.

In 2017, he moved to the Russian league by joining Zenit St. Petersburg, and in 2019, he signed with Paris Saint-Germain. He returned to Italy on loan to Juventus for the 2022-2023 season before rejoining Roma.

Throughout his career, Paredes has won several titles at both club and national levels, with his most notable achievement being the victory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the Argentina national team.

Although he was under contract with AS Roma until 2026, an agreement was reached between the two parties that allowed him to return to the Argentine league.
