Ibri Industrial City Sees RO 2 Million Investment Surge: Key Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in Oman
IBRI: Ibri Industrial City, one of the key industrial hubs managed by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has successfully attracted two new industrial projects in 2025, with a total investment of RO 2 million. This development underscores the city’s significant role in promoting economic diversification in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
The new projects span an area of 60,000 square meters, bringing the cumulative investment in Ibri Industrial City to approximately RO 22.6 million by the end of 2025. The total leased area within the city has now reached about 250,000 square meters, indicating an increasing interest from investors.
Salah bin Nasser al Alawi, Director General of Ibri Industrial City, announced that Madayn is set to embark on several developmental initiatives during the Eleventh Five-Year Development Plan (2026–2030), aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure and services.
Upcoming projects include the construction of a security fence, an administrative building, and the Madayn Entrepreneurial Complex, which will be developed in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. Additionally, efforts are underway to protect the service areas of the industrial city, along with a green initiative focused on afforestation to expand green spaces within the area.
Al Alawi also revealed that work is progressing on an integrated service station project, which will incorporate a fuel station, rest facilities, and maintenance services for trucks and vehicles. This facility aims to serve businesses within the industrial city, its employees, local residential communities, and travelers along the adjacent highway.
Ibri Industrial City continues to enhance its appeal as an investment destination by offering fully developed infrastructure and essential services. These include internal road networks, lighting, electricity, water supply, and sewage systems.
The industrial city aspires to attract a diverse range of industrial, commercial, and service activities, particularly targeting light and medium industries across various sectors. Its strategic location is a significant advantage, situated near important regional trade routes and close to land border crossings connecting Oman with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
This geographic benefit positions Ibri Industrial City as a potential logistics and manufacturing hub, enabling businesses to access regional markets efficiently and contributing to economic development in the surrounding governorate.
