MUSCAT, NOVEMBER 8 — Visit Oman, a division of OMRAN Group, has entered into a strategic partnership with Bókun, a company under Tripadvisor and a leading platform for booking management and distribution for tours and travel experiences. This agreement was formalized during Visit Oman’s participation at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London.

Through this collaboration, Visit Oman will integrate its offerings of experiences and travel services into Bókun’s global network. This integration will connect Omani suppliers with thousands of online travel agencies (OTAs) and digital channels worldwide. The partnership is expected to enhance the reach of Omani tourism offerings and bolster their presence in key global markets.

This initiative represents a significant advancement in expanding Oman’s digital tourism capabilities, increasing the visibility of the destination while providing local partners with real-time access to international markets. It embodies Visit Oman’s continuous efforts to implement modern digital solutions that support the tourism sector’s growth and align with national objectives aimed at boosting competitiveness and global exposure.

Founded in Iceland, Bókun is recognized for offering a comprehensive range of tools that assist tourism operators in managing bookings and streamlining operations. The platform connects to over 27,000 OTAs, resellers, and suppliers, enabling suppliers to link their tourism services to global distribution channels.

In recent months, OMRAN Group has further elevated Oman’s standing in international tourism through two significant agreements: its investment in UnderTheDoormat Group, facilitating the integration of Oman’s accommodations into the global rentals market, and a strategic partnership with TUI Group to enhance the Sultanate’s visibility as a year-round destination. Building on this national momentum, Visit Oman is poised to expand its international partnerships, with the collaboration with Bókun serving as a pivotal step in this direction.
