Duqm Forum 2025: Unlocking a New Era of Growth and Investment Opportunities for Businesses in Oman
AL DUQM: The Duqm Economic Forum 2025, themed “Duqm Leads Change,” convened over 400 participants and featured more than 50 speakers from across the globe, underscoring Oman’s leadership in economic development and strategic competitiveness.
Held under the patronage of Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, from October 27 to 28, the forum addressed critical topics including green industries, finance, artificial intelligence, tourism, and smart cities. It spotlighted investment and innovation prospects within one of the Middle East’s largest economic zones.
In his address, Eng. Ahmed Akaak, CEO of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD), emphasized the substantial progress made since the inaugural forum. He highlighted that many goals—especially in green industries and renewable energy—have now become concrete achievements.
He described Al Duqm as “a promising gateway to the future, where investment opportunities align with a bold national vision, transforming it into an industrial and investment hub that champions innovation and sustainable development.”
By mid-2025, committed investments in the zone exceeded RO 6.3 billion, demonstrating strong confidence in Oman’s investment climate and Al Duqm’s position as an emerging economic and tourism center.
