Mobile Lab Boosts Fuel Pump Inspections in Dhofar: What It Means for Fuel Businesses and Consumer Trust

SALALAH: In response to the increased tourism activity during the Khareef Dhofar Season 2025, mobile laboratory teams are conducting rigorous field inspections of fuel stations across Dhofar Governorate to ensure the accuracy of fuel quantities and the quality of service provided to consumers.

To date, inspection teams have examined 45 fuel stations, covering a total of 210 fuel dispensers. They have performed 429 technical checks to verify calibration and adherence to approved standards. As a result, violations were detected at four stations, leading to legal action in accordance with relevant regulations.

This inspection campaign is part of a broader monitoring strategy implemented during the Khareef Dhofar Season, a period marked by increased fuel demand due to heightened tourism and economic activities. The initiative aims to enhance field supervision, protect consumer rights, and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Authorities have confirmed that inspections will continue throughout the season, with intensified monitoring and swift responses to any complaints to guarantee all fuel stations meet the required technical and quality standards.
