MUSCAT, August 11 — The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MoTCIT) has extended an invitation to local and regional digital platform and smart application companies to participate in an introductory consultative meeting regarding the launch of a new digital platform for purchasing electronic tickets for public transportation.

The Ministry stated in an online announcement that this initiative aligns with its broader strategy to enhance investment opportunities and boost private sector involvement in accordance with Oman Vision 2040.

The meeting is scheduled for August 21, 2025, and will take place at Al Midraja Hall, MoTCIT headquarters in Muscat, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. During the session, the project concept will be presented, key platform features discussed, and valuable market insights and feedback gathered.

First introduced in 2023, the development of a user-friendly digital platform for electronic ticketing forms part of the Ministry’s extensive plan to reform over 30 transport and logistics regulations.
