Nepal Embassy’s Trade and Investment Promotion Meet: Key Opportunities for Investors and Entrepreneurs
Muscat – On February 13, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat successfully hosted a programme aimed at promoting export, trade, and investment opportunities between Nepal and Oman. The event took place at Nepal House in Muscat and gathered Nepali business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community representatives for presentations, experience-sharing, and interactive discussions, followed by networking.
Dornath Aryal, Nepal’s Ambassador to Oman, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the vital role of trade and investment in reinforcing bilateral relations between the two countries. He urged participants to explore emerging business opportunities and outlined the Government of Nepal’s strategic priorities for attracting foreign investment.
Ambassador Aryal also expressed gratitude to the NRN Nepali Social Club, other Nepali organisations, businesspersons, and artists for their active involvement in the recent month-long Muscat Night Festivals held in January at Al Qurum Natural Park. The Embassy’s participation included nine stalls featuring Nepali products and cuisine, effectively showcasing Nepali enterprises to over two million visitors.
The programme included presentations from notable community figures such as Suresh Khadka, D B Chhetri, Bikal Jha, Gautam Shrestha, Jeevan Karki, Yubaraj Acharya, and Subhash Kafle. They shared practical insights, success stories, and challenges related to trade and investment in both Nepal and Oman. The speakers highlighted essential advice for aspiring entrepreneurs and called for enhanced collaboration within the Nepali business community.
One key presentation by Gautam Shrestha focused on stock market investment, encouraging Nepalis to pursue opportunities in both nations. An interactive session followed, enabling participants to engage directly with the speakers and Embassy officials about export-import procedures, business prospects, and investment strategies.
The event concluded with networking opportunities, with attendees applauding the informative and engaging format. The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to fostering business linkages and promoting trade and investment through similar initiatives in the future. The programme was moderated by Bishesh Kumar Sah, First Secretary at the Embassy.
