Oman’s Hotel Revenues Hit RO 222.1 Million: Key Insights for Investors and Business Owners

MUSCAT: Oman’s hotel sector has demonstrated robust growth, with revenues from 3- to 5-star hotels increasing by 19.4 percent, reaching RO 222.1 million by the end of October 2025. This marks a significant rise from RO 186.1 million recorded during the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.

The total number of guests staying in these hotels also rose by 10.3 percent to 1.89 million, compared to 1.72 million a year earlier, indicating sustained expansion in tourism across the Sultanate. Additionally, occupancy rates improved notably, climbing to 53.6 percent from 47.2 percent in the corresponding period of 2024.

Analyzing guest demographics, visitors from Oceania exhibited the highest growth rate, surging by 40.5 percent to 34,441 guests. This was followed by tourists from the Americas, who increased by 31.5 percent to 62,083. European arrivals went up by 23.1 percent to 483,574, while guests from Africa grew by 18.7 percent to 11,962.

Asian nationals accounted for 273,573 guests, reflecting a 9 percent rise. Domestically, Omani visitors increased by 6.9 percent to 714,128, and guests from GCC countries rose by 6.7 percent to 181,610.
