Impact of Recent Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza: What Business Owners Need to Know About Regional Stability

On July 8, 13 Palestinians lost their lives, including children and women, and dozens sustained varying injuries due to a series of airstrikes by Israeli forces across different areas of Gaza.

Al-Shifa Hospital reported that 4 Palestinians, including a child, were killed when Israeli planes targeted a home in the southwest of Gaza City. Additionally, the Baptist Hospital confirmed that 2 Palestinians died and several others were injured in an airstrike on a house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.

A health source at Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp noted that several Palestinians were injured when the Abu Hlou School, which shelters displaced individuals in Deir al-Balah, was directly targeted in an Israeli strike.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah received one casualty and several injured individuals due to airstrikes on the city center. Meanwhile, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis reported the deaths of 2 Palestinians from an Israeli drone strike near a site along the Khan Younis – Rafah west road.

Additionally, 4 Palestinians were killed, and others injured, in an attack on a tent for displaced persons in the Mawasi area in western Khan Younis.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been conducting a campaign of genocide in Gaza, resulting in over 194,000 casualties, predominantly women and children, alongside more than 10,000 missing individuals. The conflict has also displaced hundreds of thousands and led to a famine that has claimed many lives, including those of children.
