MoL Warning on Fake Vocational Certificates: What It Means for Your Business Compliance in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has issued a stern warning to individuals and companies against submitting forged vocational classification and licensing certificates, highlighting that multiple cases of document falsification have been recently uncovered.

The ministry emphasized that it will maintain rigorous oversight of training institutes and assessment centres authorized to evaluate and license professions requiring vocational classification. It clarified that any licenses or certifications not officially approved by the MoL will be considered invalid. Those found guilty of submitting forged documents will be subject to legal action in accordance with existing regulations.

The MoL stressed that vocational classification and licensing are critical processes designed to ensure workforce quality and efficiency, protect the interests of employers and clients, shield professions from unqualified practitioners, and improve job prospects both domestically and internationally.

Reaffirming its commitment to strict enforcement, the ministry urged all individuals and organizations to adhere to the approved procedures to avoid violations and potential penalties.
