Khasab, July 8 — The Ministry of Social Development in Musandam Governorate launched the initiative “Our Safe Home” today, aimed at promoting the concept of family stability and cohesion while raising awareness among family members about the importance of nurturing children in an environment of mutual understanding and respect.
The initiative, held in Khasab under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Saif bin Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Wali of Barka, featured three presentations. The first presentation, by Dr. Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Shuhi, focused on the importance of marital guidance for those preparing for marriage, aimed at building strong and stable relationships.
The second presentation, by Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Zahouri, addressed the role of parents in raising children amid digital advancements and global openness, emphasizing their responsibility to guide children toward the safe use of social media and to protect them from the consequences of misuse.
The third presentation, delivered by Amina bint Abdul-Jalil Al-Kamalia, discussed emotional support for children and ways to prevent emotional gaps that can lead to a loss of trust between parents and children. This presentation also covered self-soothing techniques for managing problems in the surrounding environment.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s efforts to achieve key objectives that enhance family stability and community values, transforming homes into safer and more cohesive environments. The goal is to make every home a safe haven through family unity, conscious parenting, and preventive and advisory support.
