Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has apprehended an Asian national in the South Al Batinah Governorate for his involvement with an international gang engaged in narcotics smuggling into the Sultanate.
According to the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, the suspect was monitored while operating his vehicle before his arrest. This operation is a part of ongoing efforts to dismantle cross-border drug trafficking networks.
The individual was found in possession of substantial quantities of crystal meth, marijuana, morphine, and psychotropic tablets, which he was allegedly planning to distribute in various locations throughout the country.
