In a ceremony attended by Dr. Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, the Minister of Health, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has commenced the international evaluation of its search and rescue team.

Additionally, the CDAA unveiled advanced vehicles specifically designed for managing hazardous materials incidents, located at its headquarters in Muscat.

The event featured a documentary showcasing the authority’s operations, alongside a film highlighting the search and rescue team’s efforts. This included details about their local initiatives and significant international missions, such as their participation in relief operations during the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the 2023 earthquake in Turkiye.

Furthermore, attendees were given a tour of the laboratories, which exhibited the latest equipment utilized by the specialized teams. The introduction of the new hazardous materials vehicles underscores the CDAA’s readiness and high efficiency in responding to various emergencies.
