Impact of Muscat Classic: ROP Announces Partial Road Closure – What Businesses Need to Know
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced a partial road closure scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026, in connection with the “Muscat Classic Stage” of the Tour of Oman 2026.
Parking will be prohibited on both sides of the roads adjacent to the race route, which begins at The Almouj, Muscat, at 10:55 AM. The route will proceed along the coastal road in Seeb, reaching the Al Mabela Bridge. Racers will then turn north at the Al Mabela traffic lights, continuing toward Al Salam Street before making a right turn onto Al Khoudh Street, ultimately reaching the intersection at the sixth Al Khoudh traffic lights.
Following this, the race will proceed toward the traffic lights of the Military and Security Medical City Hospital in Al Khoud, then move towards the Al Rusayl area and into Bausher, passing through Falaj Al Sham, Al Ansab, and Ghala village. Participants will then take the mountain road to Al Amerat, reaching the Al Mahaj area.
From there, they will turn north at the Al Mahaj Bridge intersection toward Wadi Adai Road, making a right turn toward the Al Hamriya area. The route will continue north to Qantab, before heading back to the Al Bustan Roundabout and turning northward again toward Al Hamriya, Yiti, and Qantab. The stage will conclude in front of the Council of Oman.
