MUSCAT: A tragic three-vehicle collision near Maqshin, Dhofar Governorate, claimed the lives of five individuals, including two Omanis and three Emiratis, on Friday morning.
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported that the accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road. Additionally, eleven others sustained injuries in the incident, comprising two Omanis and nine Emiratis, among whom were five children.
Emergency services swiftly airlifted both the injured and deceased to Thamrait Hospital for urgent medical care and further proceedings. Authorities have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the accident.
