Uzbekistan’s New Visa-Free Policy for Omanis: What It Means for Oman Investors and Business Opportunities

ASTANA – Starting June 1, Uzbekistan will implement a 30-day visa-free entry policy for citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. This initiative was approved by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev through an official decree.

The move aims to boost tourism, with Uzbekistan targeting an increase in foreign visitors to 15.8 million by the end of 2025. Additionally, the country expects to generate $4 billion in travel service exports this year, according to a statement from the Uzbek Justice Ministry’s press service on May 20.

Alongside international tourism growth, Uzbekistan plans to attract 40 million domestic tourists. To support this, the government will establish 378 new tour operators to enhance the country’s tourism infrastructure.
