This marks an increase of $2.26 from last Friday\u2019s price of $157.94.<\/p>\n<p>The monthly average price for Omani crude delivered in March reached $62.17 per barrel, reflecting a modest rise of 8 cents compared to the February average.<\/p>\n<p>Global oil prices surged on Monday following warnings from the United States and Israel over the weekend that the ongoing conflict with Iran\u2014which has disrupted oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz\u2014is expected to continue for several more weeks.<\/p>\n<p>In early Monday trading, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI), the US crude benchmark, climbed to just above $100 per barrel. Meanwhile, North Sea Brent crude increased by more than 1%, reaching $113.90 per barrel.<\/p>\n<p>International Energy Agency (IEA) chief Fatih Birol issued a cautionary statement on Monday, describing the global economy as being under a \u201cmajor threat\u201d from the energy crisis caused by the Middle East conflict. He emphasized that \u201cno country will be immune\u201d to the crisis\u2019s impact.<\/p>\n<p>Birol also reported that at least 40 energy assets across nine countries in the region have been
