Beyond electricity production benefits, it emphasizes building national expertise, technology transfer, and establishing a modern industrial base aligned with Oman\u2019s long-term development vision. <\/p>\n<p>Oman plans to develop five major wind energy projects, leveraging strong wind resources in Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates. These include the Duqm, Dhofar, Mahout, Sadah, and Jaalan Bani Bu Ali wind farms.<\/p>\n<p>Collectively, these projects will reduce Oman\u2019s annual carbon emissions by over 978,000 tonnes and cut reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation, bolstering energy security and supporting a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>Renewable energy experts affirm Oman is making strategic strides toward a sustainable energy transformation, marked by government-backed high-quality projects. These initiatives reflect a clear vision and commitment to diversify energy sources and decrease fossil fuel dependency in line with global climate and energy security trends.<\/p>\n<p>In human resource development, Mawarid Turbine and the National University of Science and Technology recently signed a partnership agreement to train about 321 Omani graduates.
