from <strong>RO 528 million<\/strong> during the same period in 2025, according to preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information.<\/p>\n<p>Total merchandise exports fell by <strong>6.1%<\/strong> to <strong>RO 1.831 billion<\/strong>, down from <strong>RO 1.949 billion<\/strong> the previous year. In contrast, imports increased by <strong>10.9%<\/strong>, reaching <strong>RO 1.575 billion<\/strong>, up from <strong>RO 1.421 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The decline in exports was primarily due to a <strong>15.9%<\/strong> decrease in oil and gas exports, which totaled <strong>RO 1.109 billion<\/strong>, compared to <strong>RO 1.318 billion<\/strong> in January 2025. However, non-oil exports rose by <strong>15.3%<\/strong> to <strong>RO 613 million<\/strong>, a notable increase from <strong>RO 531 million<\/strong>, while re-exports also saw growth, rising <strong>9.7%<\/strong> to <strong>RO 109 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The United Arab Emirates continued to be the largest destination for Oman\u2019s non-oil exports, valued at <strong>RO 141 million<\/strong>, followed by Saudi Arabia at <strong>RO 92 million<\/strong> and South Korea at <strong>RO 77 million<\/strong>. The UAE also led re-export destinations at <strong>RO 43 million<\/strong>, followed by Saudi Arabia and Iran.<\/p>\n<p>On the import front, China emerged as a key trading partner, with imports amounting to <strong>RO 213 million<\/strong>, followed by India at <strong>RO 113 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These figures underscore ongoing structural changes in Oman\u2019s trade landscape, as
