destination for this growing sector.<\/p>\n<p>Market experts identify two key factors supporting this outlook. Firstly, Yamna is a principal member of a consortium awarded a concession in April 2024 to develop a giga-scale green hydrogen project in Oman\u2019s Dhofar Governorate, which remains the company&#8217;s main energy investment in the Middle East. Secondly, the company revealed that its inaugural flagship green data centre project will be located in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>If realized, this development will notably enhance Oman\u2019s green hydrogen value proposition beyond export markets by generating local demand for clean energy and improving project financial viability. It will also solidify Oman\u2019s stature as a dual hub for green energy and digital infrastructure, attracting increased foreign investment and advancing economic diversification.<\/p>\n<p>Yamna is collaborating with EDF Group and J-POWER on one of Oman\u2019s flagship green hydrogen projects in Dhofar Governorate. Awarded by Hydrom, the project covers approximately 341 square kilometers and aims to produce up to 1 million tonnes of green ammonia annually through renewable-powered hydrogen production. Supported by around 4.5 GW of combined wind and solar capacity, a 2.5 GW electrolyser, and battery storage, the ammonia will be supplied to a facility in the Salalah Free Zone for both domestic consumption and export.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of Yamna\u2019s digital infrastructure business represents a significant extension of its core focus on green hydrogen and Power-to-X derivatives such as ammonia and e-fuels, which support the energy transition at scale.<\/p>\n<p>Building on its existing expertise, Yamna intends to develop integrated power-and-data campuses to support AI-driven hyperscale computing workloads. These campuses will integrate renewable energy, battery storage, and hydrogen-based power solutions where applicable, ensuring a continuous supply of low-emission electricity with built-in backup systems.
