With significant differences still existing between Iran\u2019s 10-point proposal and Washington\u2019s positions, the upcoming Islamabad talks offer no guaranteed success.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Yip noted that reopening the Strait of Hormuz, subject to Iran\u2019s \u201ctechnical limitations,\u201d could take weeks or months to clear shipping backlogs and restore normal supply chains.
