same period in 2025, according to data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).<\/p>\n<p>Postpaid mobile subscriptions grew by 4 percent, reaching 1,287,418, while prepaid subscriptions saw a smaller rise of 1 percent, totaling 5,349,044.<\/p>\n<p>Subscriptions to Internet of Things (IoT) services experienced significant growth, increasing by 14 percent to 1,653,687 by the end of February 2026, highlighting the growing adoption of connected technologies across various sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Internet services also continued to expand, with active mobile broadband subscriptions hitting 5,486,364. Fixed broadband subscriptions rose by 2 percent to 598,912.<\/p>\n<p>Fibre optic subscriptions increased by 8 percent to 360,164, and fixed 5G subscriptions saw a slight rise of 1 percent, reaching 218,909.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, fixed 4G subscriptions dropped sharply by 63 percent to 8,192, while DSL subscriptions declined by 28 percent to 9,785. Satellite subscriptions, however, surged by 195 percent to 1,125.<\/p>\n<p>Other connection types, including power lines, Ethernet, and leased lines, decreased by 8 percent to 737 compared to the same
