The total direct value added also increased by 4% to RO 1.107 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Overall tourism output experienced stronger growth, climbing 7.8% year-on-year to RO 2.284 billion, compared to RO 2.119 billion in 2024. Tourism consumption recorded the highest growth, rising 11.6% to about RO 1.177 billion, driven by increased visitor spending and robust domestic tourism activity.<\/p>\n<p>Quarterly data indicated a largely stable performance. In the fourth quarter of 2025, tourism\u2019s direct contribution to GDP was around RO 330 million, marginally below the RO 331 million recorded in the same quarter of 2024, accounting for 3% of total GDP.<\/p>\n<p>Sector-specific trends revealed mixed outcomes. Accommodation services showed significant growth, rising 17% to RO 252.1 million. Other tourism-related services increased by 18% to RO 197.9 million. Restaurant revenues grew by 3.5% to RO 198.9 million, and transport services edged up 1.1% to RO 196.5 million. Conversely, travel agencies and booking services declined by 12.2% to RO 242.7 million, reflecting changing consumer preferences and a growing shift towards digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>At constant prices, which better reflect real growth, the sector demonstrated stronger performance. Direct tourism GDP rose by 5.7% to RO 1.155 billion, while total direct value added experienced a 6.5% increase to RO 1.095 billion.
