Consequently, oil prices are poised to rise,\u201d said Tamas Varga, an analyst at PVM Oil Associates.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, while the U.S. maintains a blockade on Iranian ports. According to Kpler shipping data, traffic through the strait remains minimal, with only one oil products tanker entering the Gulf on Sunday.
