alignment with Oman Vision 2040.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new regulations, all existing tourism operators are granted a six-month period to regularize their status, with the previous 2021 regulations now annulled.<\/p>\n<p>A significant update includes the creation of a central registry for all tourism activities, which will enhance the organisation and oversight of the sector. The Ministry emphasized that operating any tourism or hospitality activity without an official license is prohibited.<\/p>\n<p>The revised regulations encompass a broad spectrum of activities, such as hotels, travel agencies, tour guiding, adventure tourism, and business tourism. Licence applications will be reviewed within 60 days; if no response is provided within this timeframe, the application will be considered approved.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the regulations introduce structured tourism fees and service charges alongside clearer processes for licensing, renewal, and compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Hotels and tourism establishments must obtain initial approval prior to construction, adhere to approved land-use plans, and be classified into official categories. They are also required to display their classification and electronically connect with the Ministry to provide data and statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Travel agencies will continue operating under regulated conditions that include mandatory tourist insurance and the exclusive use of licensed tour guides.<\/p>\n<p>Tour guiding services will be organized into distinct categories, while adventure tourism will adhere to updated safety and insurance standards.<\/p>\n<p>Business tourism is now formally regulated, with operators required to submit programme data and statistics to support sector planning and analysis.<\/p>\n<p>The regulations also introduce updated guidelines for tourism land use and development, accompanied by strengthened monitoring and inspection procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry stated that the new regulatory framework aims to enhance service quality, boost investment opportunities, and reinforce the tourism sector\u2019s contribution to Oman\u2019s
