The breakdown of fatalities by governorate reveals that <strong>89 deaths<\/strong> occurred in Muscat, <strong>90<\/strong> in Dhofar, <strong>99<\/strong> in Al Dhakhilyah, <strong>72<\/strong> in North Al Batinah, <strong>64<\/strong> in South Al Batinah, and <strong>51<\/strong> in Al Dhahirah.<\/p>\n<p>Muscat also recorded the highest number of accidents at <strong>271<\/strong>, followed by Dhofar with <strong>237<\/strong>, Al Dhakhilyah with <strong>240<\/strong>, and South Al Batinah with <strong>246<\/strong>. Conversely, Musandam had the fewest accidents, recording only <strong>26<\/strong>, while Al Dhahirah reported <strong>70<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Accident causes were predominantly due to vehicle collisions (<strong>661 incidents<\/strong>), followed by individuals being run over (<strong>320<\/strong>), falls (<strong>312<\/strong>), and collisions with fixed objects (<strong>252<\/strong>). Among the fatalities, <strong>354 Omani nationals<\/strong> lost their lives, including <strong>67<\/strong> individuals, while <strong>241 expatriates<\/strong> also died, with <strong>31 of them females<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, incidents attributed to speeding have decreased significantly, falling from <strong>1,009 in 2023<\/strong> to <strong>768 in 2024<\/strong>, and further to
