Notably, during 2024, Oman&#8217;s economic indicators showed significant improvements. Public debt decreased from <strong>37.5% of GDP<\/strong> in 2023 to <strong>35.5%<\/strong> in 2024. Efforts to rationalize public spending have also been effective, reducing expenditures from <strong>41% of GDP<\/strong> (2016\u20132020) to <strong>29%<\/strong> in 2024. Additionally, the average oil break-even price fell from <strong>USD 84 per barrel<\/strong> (2016\u20132020) to <strong>USD 70 per barrel<\/strong> for 2024\u20132025, highlighting increased budgetary efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Other economic highlights include a decline in public debt servicing costs\u2014from <strong>9% of total revenue<\/strong> in 2021 to <strong>7.2%<\/strong> in 2024\u2014and a real GDP growth of <strong>1.7%<\/strong> at constant prices. Inflation remained low at <strong>0.7%<\/strong>, while the fiscal surplus reached <strong>2.8% of GDP<\/strong>.
