Starting with three boats and a team of four, the operation has expanded to more than 85 boats staffed by 33 Omani and 15 expatriate employees. He noted plans for future expansion due to rising demand and emphasized the role of such heritage projects in promoting community-based tourism and supporting local artisans and producers.  <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Said Mahad Al Maashani, proprietor of Darbat Huts, recounted that his venture began four years ago with three huts and now boasts nine huts in two distinct designs. The project provides hospitality services amid the wadi\u2019s stunning natural landscape, attracting visitors from Oman and the GCC countries alike.  <\/p>\n<p>In the adventure tourism sector, Eng. Abdulhakim Amer Al Maashani, co-founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/omanet.om\/en\/resources\/dhofar-governorate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Dhofar\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"18\">Dhofar<\/a> Tourism and Investment Company, highlighted the Zipline project launched in Wadi Darbat in 2022, which initially featured a 120-meter line. Rapid developments followed, including the addition of dual lines enabling round trips and two experience sites, creating around 60 temporary job opportunities for Omani youth. Plans for this year include constructing a main zipline with four outgoing and four return lines, potentially employing approximately 140 job seekers.
