Co to establish a manufacturing facility in Oman dedicated to producing essential equipment for the nation\u2019s green hydrogen sector.<\/p>\n<p>UES, headquartered in Muscat and part of the diversified MB Holding Group, provides advanced engineering services to the oil and gas, marine, and defense industries domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on August 4, 2025, UES CEO Dr. Salim al Harthy emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, saying, \u201cThis collaboration is a significant step in expanding our renewable energy footprint and positioning Oman as a regional hub for advanced hydrogen technologies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The new facility will focus on producing and assembling electrolysers, gas separation and purification systems, and related infrastructure to serve both local demand and regional export markets.<\/p>\n<p>Xiaowei Duan, Head of the AMEA Region and Key Account Director at Sungrow Hydrogen, expressed pride in partnering with UES, stating, \u201cWe are honored to collaborate with a respected Omani industrial leader. Together, we aim to introduce cutting-edge hydrogen solutions to Oman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This agreement represents UES\u2019s initial entry into Oman\u2019s critical green hydrogen industry. Sungrow Hydrogen, its Chinese partner, is a prominent manufacturer of major components for the global green hydrogen and clean energy markets. The company produces alkaline (ALK) and PEM electrolysers, power systems, gas-liquid separators, intelligent hydrogen control units, and purification systems. Its Intelligent Manufacturing Centre in China operates the nation\u2019s first automated assembly line for ALK electrolysers with a production capacity of 3 gigawatts annually.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in 2025, Sungrow Hydrogen secured a contract to supply water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment for Oman\u2019s first green ammonia project being built in Duqm.<\/p>\n<p>The project, led by Green Hydrogen and Chemicals Company SAOC (GHC)\u2014a wholly owned subsidiary of India\u2019s renewable energy developer ACME Group\u2014involves a green ammonia plant with an initial capacity of 100,000 tonnes per annum (tpa), planned to expand to 900,000 tpa across multiple phases within the Duqm Special Economic Zone.<\/p>\n<p>Sungrow Hydrogen confirmed it was awarded the largest share of the contract to supply electrolyser equipment for ACME\u2019s 320 MW-capacity green ammonia project in Oman.<\/p>\n<p>The contract includes delivery of multiple alkaline-type hydrogen production units with capacities of 1,000 Nm\u00b3\/h, along with flexible green hydrogen production solutions.
