August 2025, compared to 32,891 GWh during the same period in 2024, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).<\/p>\n<p>Net electricity production\u2014which includes electricity purchased by the Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (Nama PWP) and the Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAEC)\u2014rose by 9 percent to 34,857.4 GWh from 31,990.1 GWh a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, total water production experienced a slight decline of 1 percent, totaling 342.7 million cubic meters, down from 346 million cubic meters in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Regionally, Muscat Governorate saw an <strong>11.2 percent decrease<\/strong> in water production, dropping to 136.6 million cubic meters. Dhofar Governorate registered a 3.4 percent increase, producing 50.9 million cubic meters.
