natural gas production, according to the Ministry of Economy\u2019s latest Economic Performance Bulletin from September 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices increased by 2.44%, reaching <strong>RO 20.66 billion<\/strong>, up from <strong>RO 20.17 billion<\/strong> a year earlier. In real terms, the output rose by 2.27%, driven mainly by a <strong>4.14% growth<\/strong> in non-oil sectors. The agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors experienced an impressive <strong>11.72% increase<\/strong>, while services grew by <strong>4.39%<\/strong> and industrial activities by <strong>2.50%<\/strong>. Conversely, the value added from oil saw a slight decline of <strong>0.48%<\/strong>, correlating with a <strong>0.61% drop<\/strong> in average crude output, whereas natural gas activities recorded a significant rise of <strong>56.52%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Inflation remained low, averaging <strong>0.82%<\/strong> from January to June 2025, compared to <strong>0.36%<\/strong> during the same period in 2024, staying within the authorities\u2019 established \u201csafe\u201d range.<\/p>\n<p>However, public finances showed some strain, as net receipts from oil and gas fell, resulting in a <strong>5.78% decrease<\/strong> in total state revenue during the first half of the year. External trade also softened due to declining hydrocarbon exports, although it maintained a surplus. Total merchandise exports reached <strong>RO 11.50 billion<\/strong>, a <strong>9.5% decline<\/strong> year-on-year, with oil exports decreasing by <strong>16.08%<\/strong>. In contrast, non-oil exports rose by <strong>9.1%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Imports also saw an increase of <strong>5.1%<\/strong>, totaling <strong>RO 8.41 billion<\/strong>, which led to a trade surplus of <strong>RO 3.09 billion<\/strong>. Moreover, foreign direct investment (FDI) displayed robust growth, with the total FDI stock reaching <strong>RO 30.28 billion<\/strong>, marking a <strong>12.8% increase<\/strong> from the previous year. Oil and gas extraction accounted for <strong>80.7%<\/strong> of this investment, followed by manufacturing at <strong>8.9%<\/strong> and financial intermediation at <strong>4.5%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By country of origin, the <strong>United Kingdom<\/strong> led with <strong>51.9%<\/strong> of FDI, followed by the <strong>United States<\/strong> at <strong>26.7%<\/strong> and <strong>Kuwait<\/strong> at <strong>4.5%<\/strong>. Credit quality remained stable, with Standard &amp; Poor\u2019s affirming Oman\u2019s sovereign rating at <strong>BBB-<\/strong> with a stable outlook. The agency highlighted the economy&#8217;s ability to maintain financial stability and fulfill its obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the first-half assessment indicates steady, broad-based growth beyond
