Omani-Lebanese Economic Forum is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will bring together senior officials, business leaders, and investors from both Oman and Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>The forum aims to enhance economic ties and broaden cooperation in trade, industry, and investment between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>Jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) of Oman and Lebanon\u2019s Ministry of Economy and Trade, the event is held in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon (FCCIAL). It will feature participation from various investment institutions and industrial and service companies from both countries.<\/p>\n<p>Shaikh Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI, emphasized that the forum reflects both nations\u2019 aspirations for a deeper economic partnership built on exchanging expertise and developing joint investments. He highlighted that the forum and accompanying exhibition will activate the private sector\u2019s role in both countries, open new channels for trade and industrial cooperation, and contribute to diversifying and enhancing the competitiveness of their national economies.<\/p>\n<p>Khalid bin Hamed al Kharusi, Director General for Investment Promotion at MoCIIP, noted that business-to-business meetings between Omani and Lebanese entrepreneurs during the forum represent a valuable opportunity to establish long-term trade and investment partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>The forum\u2019s opening day will include an introductory presentation on investment opportunities in both countries, followed by several specialized working sessions. One key session titled \u201cProspects for Economic Integration between the Sultanate of Oman and Lebanon: Towards a Sustainable Industrial, Trade, and Investment Partnership\u201d will feature prominent economic leaders. Another session will focus on tourism and investment integration, with insights from experts across the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel with the forum, the Lebanese-Omani Economic and Trade Exhibition will be inaugurated, showcasing the products and services of over 100 companies and institutions from various sectors such as industry, food, tourism, and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>According to MoCIIP data, Omani exports to Lebanon reached approximately RO 5.6 million in 2024, marking a 70 percent increase compared to 2023. Omani exports primarily include iron products, polyethylene, and glass containers, while Lebanese imports consist of grains, oils, personal care products, and paper
