developing Oman\u2019s national Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Master Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The appointed consultancy firm will assist the MTCIT and the National Steering Committee in formulating and executing Oman\u2019s National AAM Strategy. Bids for the tender must be submitted by <strong>November 23, 2025<\/strong>, with a final submission deadline of <strong>December 15, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of the consultancy work encompasses eight integrated components along with the relevant governance framework. This includes producing deliverables and artifacts that cover regulatory, institutional, infrastructure, economic, and social dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>Oman\u2019s National Aviation Strategy 2040 is transforming the air mobility sector, offering a roadmap for modernizing aviation, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainability, all while incorporating new technologies.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview, Kuljit Ghata-Aura, president of Boeing for the Middle East, T\u00fcrkiye, Africa, and Central Asia, noted, \u201cAir transport has long been a catalyst for economic growth and cultural exchange. Thanks to the efforts of Oman Air, SalamAir, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the aviation sector in Oman is enhancing connectivity and opportunities.\u201d He emphasized that Oman is actively pursuing advanced air mobility and is initiating the establishment of a regulatory framework.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the CAA and MTCIT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Odys Aviation to launch the Omani Advanced Air Mobility Proof of Concept Program, which is intended to serve as a comprehensive model for demonstrating an advanced air mobility ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>This program will showcase the &quot;Laila&quot; aircraft, developed by Odys, which is designed for vertical takeoff and landing and employs an electric hybrid propulsion system. The aircraft boasts an extended range, high payload capacity, and sophisticated autonomous flight technology. The pilot phase of the program is set to commence in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What is Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) represents a new generation of air transport systems utilizing electric or hybrid-electric aircraft for the movement of people and goods within and between urban areas.
