He noted, \u201cWe are at a critical juncture for the hydrogen economy. The global ambitions\u2014what some have called hype\u2014are now evolving into something more substantive. We are moving from a phase of exaggeration to a more realistic understanding of the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He elaborated on the existing challenges, stating, \u201cThe market is scrutinizing costs, supply chains, regulatory frameworks, and the types of molecules that will be transported and utilized. All of these are legitimate hurdles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Al Aufi also emphasized that what some perceive as a slowdown is, in fact, a maturation of the energy market. \u201cThis is not a slackening but a rapid transition towards maturity. It is necessary to recognize why the energy transition can be lengthy. What we see today is not a retreat, but a swift evolution\u2014from hype to maturity and the activation of projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Historically, major energy transitions have taken decades, but hydrogen must advance more swiftly, according to Al Aufi. He reassured attendees that the current slowdown is merely a moment to strategize, not a setback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that this so-called slowness is actually a rapid acknowledgment that mere enthusiasm will not lead us to our goals. Realism, market dynamics, and global collaboration are essential to making hydrogen the preferred energy source\u2014and progress is already underway,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>In his closing statements, Al Aufi reaffirmed Oman&#8217;s readiness to move forward. \u201cOman is prepared.
