the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.<\/p>\n<p>Private vehicles represented the largest category, totaling 1.46 million units, marking a 5 percent year-on-year rise. Commercial vehicles followed, with 272,233 registrations, a 7.7 percent increase. Rental vehicles saw the strongest growth, climbing 12.4 percent to 44,075 units. Motorcycle registrations also rose significantly by 12.6 percent to 8,609, while taxis experienced a slight increase of 0.9 percent, reaching 28,495.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of vehicle color, white remained the most popular choice with 778,846 vehicles, followed by silver and grey. Black vehicles numbered approximately 98,333, while blue vehicles showed a notable rise, exceeding 102,000 units.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding engine capacity, the largest segment consisted of vehicles with engines between 1,500 and 3,000 cc, totaling just over one million units. This was followed by vehicles in the 3,001 to 4,500 cc range, while those with engine capacities above 4,500 cc reached about 228,000.<\/p>\n<p>Most registered vehicles weighed less than three tonnes, underscoring the dominance of light vehicles.
