the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.<\/p>\n<p>Private vehicles comprised the majority, with 1.46 million units registered, reflecting a 5% year-on-year rise. Commercial vehicles followed, totaling 272,233 registrations, up 7.7%. Rental vehicles experienced the highest growth rate, increasing by 12.4% to 44,075 units. Motorcycle registrations also increased by 12.6% to 8,609, while taxis saw a slight rise of 0.9%, reaching 28,495.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of vehicle color, white remained the most popular, with 778,846 vehicles, followed by silver and grey. Black vehicles numbered approximately 98,333, while blue vehicles saw significant growth, surpassing 102,000 units.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding engine capacity, vehicles with engines between 1,500 and 3,000 cc represented the largest segment, exceeding one million units. This was followed by vehicles in the 3,001\u20134,500 cc range, and those with engines over 4,500 cc totaled around 228,000.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of registered vehicles weighed less than three tonnes, underscoring the prevalence of light vehicles.
