across key sectors, including logistics, land ports, supply chains, data centres, cloud computing, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and air connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>The first agreement focuses on cooperation in logistics services, the development and operation of land ports (dry ports), and supply chain-related services. It aims to enhance logistical integration between the two countries, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and support capacity-building in this critical sector for trade facilitation and economic diversification.<\/p>\n<p>The second agreement pertains to collaboration in data centres, cloud computing, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence projects and services. It seeks to bolster partnerships in advanced digital technologies through skills development, knowledge-sharing, joint capacity-building efforts, and support for policy and legislative development.<\/p>\n<p>The third agreement targets the improvement of air connectivity by introducing direct Oman Air flights between Muscat and Kigali. This initiative is expected to simplify travel, boost trade and tourism, and strengthen ties between Oman and the African continent. The flights are set to begin with a frequency of two services per week from June 2026, pending regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth agreement is a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Rwanda Development Board and Oman Airports concerning airport management. This MoU aims to enhance cooperation in airport development and management, facilitate the exchange of operational expertise, and explore joint investment opportunities in aviation and related infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, stated that these agreements align with Oman\u2019s strategic goal of expanding international partnerships in transport, logistics, and information and communications technology, with a special emphasis on East Africa. He highlighted that cooperation with Rwanda will advance collaboration in land transport, dry ports, airport ground handling, and investment exchanges.
