February 28, continuing through March 13. <\/p>\n<p>According to Cirium Aviation Analytics, airlines reported an average of <strong>242 seats per flight<\/strong>, based on an average load factor of <strong>80%<\/strong>\u2014the proportion of paying passengers relative to available seat-miles. While some aircraft, such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, can accommodate more passengers, this figure represents an overall average across various aircraft. <\/p>\n<p>These cancellations encompass flights traveling to and from the Middle East, excluding intra-regional flights during this timeframe. From February 28 to March 13, <strong>more than 98,000 flights<\/strong> were scheduled in and out of the Middle East, with <strong>over 52,000 cancellations<\/strong> recorded.<\/p>\n<p>The International Air Transport Association (IATA) noted a <strong>5.9% increase<\/strong> in international demand compared to January 2025, with capacity rising by <strong>5.8%<\/strong> year-on-year and a load factor of <strong>82.5%<\/strong>, which represents a slight increase of <strong>0.1 percentage points<\/strong> from January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In January of this year, Middle Eastern carriers experienced a <strong>7.2% year-on-year increase<\/strong> in demand, alongside a <strong>7.8%<\/strong> growth in capacity. However, the load factor for that month was reported at <strong>83.2%<\/strong>, reflecting a decline of <strong>0.4 percentage points<\/strong> compared to January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>IATA Director-General Willie Walsh remarked, \u201cWe all hope for an early peaceful resolution to the current hostilities.
